چکیده

We show that the visibility graph of a set of non-intersecting translates of the same compact convex object in R always contains a Hamiltonian path. Furthermore, we show that every other edge in the Hamiltonian path can be used to obtain a perfect matching that is realized by a set of non-intersecting lines of sight. ? 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. Epileptic seizure detection based on The Limited Penetrable visibility graph algorithm and graph properties

Introduction: Epileptic seizure detection is a key step for both researchers and epilepsy specialists for epilepsy assessment due to the non-stationariness and chaos in the electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. Current research is directed toward the development of an efficient method for epilepsy or seizure detection based the limited penetrable visibility graph (LPVG) algorith...

Order Types and Visibility Types of Conngurations of Disjoint Convex Plane Sets Order Types and Visibility Types of Conngurations of Disjoint Convex Plane Sets Extended Abstract

We introduce the notions of order type (or: dual arrangement) and visibility type (or: tangent visibility graph) for conngurations of disjoint convex sets in the plane. We develop optimal algorithms for computing and sweeping the order type, and also give a worst case optimal algorithm for computing the tangent visibility graph. The methods are based on a relation, introduced in this paper, bet...

The convex domination subdivision number of a graph

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple graph. A set $Dsubseteq V$ is adominating set of $G$ if every vertex in $Vsetminus D$ has atleast one neighbor in $D$. The distance $d_G(u,v)$ between twovertices $u$ and $v$ is the length of a shortest $(u,v)$-path in$G$. An $(u,v)$-path of length $d_G(u,v)$ is called an$(u,v)$-geodesic. A set $Xsubseteq V$ is convex in $G$ ifvertices from all $(a, b)$-geodesics belon...

Survey Paper Combinatorial problems on the illumination of convex bodies

This is a review of various problems and results on the illumination of convex bodies in the spirit of combinatorial geometry. The topics under review are: history of the Gohberg–Markus–Hadwiger problem on the minimum number of exterior sources illuminating a convex body, including the discussion of its equivalent forms like the minimum number of homothetic copies covering the body; generalizat...

Algorithm for Graph Visibility Obtainment from a Map of Non-convex Polygons

Visibility graphs are basic planning algorithms, widely used in mobile robotics and other disciplines. The construction of a visibility graph can be considered a tool based on geometry that provides support to planning strategies in mobile robots. Visually, the method is used to solve that planning, which is quite extended due to the simplicity of operating with polygons, that represent obstacle...
